This book club is focussed on the narrative non-fiction genre. So 'true life' stories. It is often the people involved in an historical event, written from their perspective either by them or from historical or contemporaneous records.

An example being The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny and Murder by David Grann.

Although it is a quite specific genre, there are many excellent books to choose from; being both educational and entertaining.
