Primarily we try to develop conversation skills, although, of necessity, we also cover grammar to help us in this. We are very fortunate to have the indispensable help of a native Italian speaker who also helps us with the more idiomatic nuances of the language. We also have several members who have either lived and/or worked in Italy which adds significantly to the atmosphere of the Group.

Currently the Group is now able to hold simple conversations in Italian and cope with most social situations. We have covered all the basic tenses and are able to read, write and understand the language to an  intermediate level.
