The AGM is an opportunity to make an important contribution to the future of an organisation that means so much to all of us.

To be entitled to participate and vote at the AGM you must be a paid- up member. The cut-off date for entitlement will be 30 September. After that date you may still renew your membership but you will not be able to participate in the AGM.

Our Constitution allows a member to appoint the Chairman or Secretary to enter a proxy to vote for them at the meeting. Please do not consider a proxy vote unless you know you cannot attend the AGM and contact our Secretary for a form.

Listed below are the actions you are asked to take so that you may participate in the AGM.

If you wish to nominate someone or yourself as a Committee member please email the Secretary

for a nomination form.

A form to put forward a resolution to be raised at the AGM can also be provided on request.

The closing date for nominations and receipt of proposed motions will be 20 September 2024.

On 10 October all entitled members will receive the documentation about the AGM which will include the Minutes of last year’s AGM, the Chairman’s Statement, the Accounts and the Report of the Independent Examiner of the Accounts. You will be asked to approve the reports and to vote for the candidates who are standing for election at the AGM.

Voting will be by a show of hands at the AGM meeting on 24 October but if using a proxy vote this must be received by 18 October. The results will be announced immediately at the AGM.

We need 10% of our membership to vote so it is important that you attend the AGM at Tarporley Community Centre on 24 October to vote or to use a proxy vote.
